Description: | Captain Blackbird leaves his wife and two daughters for a lengthy sea voyage. After he has been gone for about a year, an evil island governor arrives and tries to convince the wife that the captain has left her for an island woman. She agrees to travel to the island to see for herself, and takes one of her daughters with her. Many years pass and the captain grows into a hardened sea-rover traveling with his other daughter in search of his lost wife. Meanwhile the abducted daughter is coveted by an evil chief and enamored of an honorable American shipwrecked sailor. The film features Tahitian dress, dances, and battles, and was filmed in Tahiti. |
