Description: | The government acquired Maori land for an airstrip during World War II. Burial grounds were desecrated and the site became a golf course. In 1978 a ceremony was held there during a golf tournament, leading to the arrest of seventeen people. Ten years later, the land was won back. This film tells of the birth of a Maori flag at one of the celebration festivals. |
