Description: | Follows a young American musician, Chris Roberts, to Papua New Guinea, where he ingeniously bridges the vast cultural gap between his own society and that of the inhabitants. Setting out to record, document, and preserve music from some of the remotest villages in the region, he introduces his hosts to western classical music. They, in turn, share their own, often sacred, music with him. Top awards. |
