Description:Examines two income generating projects in fisheries in the Pacific islands. A project in Fiji involves the women of a village in farming beche de mer (sea cucumber) while a project in Kiribati involves all the women in a remote atoll in farming seaweed for export overseas. Shows how the projects are empowering the women but also highlights the need for conservation so that this empowerment can continue.
