Description:Chronicle of the eighteen-month voyage of a two-masted sailing vessel. Shows Skipper Irving Johnson and his wife with a crew of twenty-two amateur sailors leaving Gloucester, Massachusetts, passing through the Panama Canal, and visiting the Galapagos, Moorea, Pentecost, and Papua New Guinea, with a stopover at Pitcairn Island, where the Bounty mutineers landed. Beautifully photographed, with a fine narration by Orson Welles.
