|Description:||In this search to resolve the mystery surrounding the final destiny of the famous and mythical ‘Lapérouse’ who disappeared in 1788, after three years of navigating around the world, in September 2008 a film crew accompanied researchers who go to pick up the trail of the missing people from two frigates, the Boussole and the Astrolabe. A search campaign lasting 43 days on the island of Vanikoro (South Pacific) will unite two ships, fifty-two crew members and sixty-two participants, of which there are almost thirty scientists and researchers.
