Anschlie§end Pflanzen von Zuckerrohr und SŸ§kartoffelstecklingen.In the garden area of Kwarelala village a fallow ground is prepared for planting by a group of 30 persons: cutting the secondary vegetation, uncovering the old terraces, deppening the ditches, covering the plots with earth and mud, cutting off and burning branches (tools used: digging-stick, bush knives, transverse stone axes). Meanwhile preparation of food in an earth oven. Then planting of sugar cane and sweet potato shoots. The work requires 9 days from 8 to 9 and 15 to 16. |
