Die Modelliermasse mischt er aus Erde, Baumsaft und gebranntem Kalk. Dann befestigt er am SchŠdel Kauri-SchneckengehŠuse, Conus-Schneckenbšden und Menschenhaare. Anschlie§end wird der SchŠdel mit schwarzer, gelber und roter Farbe bemalt.During an initiation ceremony a man modells on a skull a mixture of clay. He taps a tree for some tree-sap. The mixture on the skull consists of earth, tree-sap, and burned chalk. Different shells like cowrie shells and conus shells and human hair fixed on the skull. Finally he paints the overmodelled skull with black, yellow and red. |
