Please note that glottals are used in the text and must be typed to search correctly. For example you must type Hawai'i not Hawaii, Pape'ete not Papeete, and Savai'i not Savaii.

If you are unsure of the proper diacritical marks please use wildcard characters (see below for Search Tips).

Case insensitive
VANUATU = vanuatu = VaNuAtU
Ranked results
Records most closely matching your search words will/should be at the top of the list returned
Truncation/Wildcards
Wildcards are supported to deal with variations in word endings. For example: "min*" will find mine, mines, mining, miners; and "mine*" will find mine, mines, and miners, but not mining.
Free Text searches
Just type in words in any order
Exact phrase searches
Use quotation marks. Example: "prehensile tail".
Boolean searches
The words 'and', 'or', 'not' can help you limit the number of records. "Dogs and cats" returns all records having both words. "Dogs or cats" returns all records having either word (all dogs and all cats).
Searchable fields
field/word. For example, location/tahiti (films shot in Tahiti) or subject/sex* (sexually transmitted diseases). Fields to search by are title, year, subject, location, distributor.
