Board of Regents’ Charge to the Selection Committee
The Advisory Presidential Selection Committee is charged with advising the University of Hawaii Board of Regents in selection of the president of the University of Hawaii. The committee shall submit recommendations on the following issues:
- Credentials and leadership qualities of the president
- The selection process
- A search firm to be engaged by the board to assist the committee and board
- Qualified candidates for the position
- An unranked list of 2-4 finalists for board selection
The committee may call upon available resources in the university or outside as appropriate. The committee may use task groups or subcommittees, including the Board of Regents Task Group on Presidential Search. The committee should report on progress to the Board of Regents.
