University of Hawaii campuses celebrate Earth Day
April 22 marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment.
University of Hawaii campuses statewide are celebrating Earth Day 2009 with a series of educational events and presentations scheduled throughout the week. Fairs at a variety of campuses will feature information booths, food and entertainment, while other campuses have lectures and film screenings on the agenda.
For more information on campus activities, see the individual campus websites linked below.
Our strategic vision for the University of Hawaii’s 10 campuses is grounded in Native Hawaiian values, including a strong sense of community, mutual respect and the need to conserve and care for limited resources.
