Faculty members may shelter their lump sum temporary salary reduction payment from federal and state income taxes by utilizing the University's 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) program and/or the 457 Island Savings Plan.

The following are documents related to the recent settlement of the 2013-2015 BU 08 Administrative, Professional and Technical Employees collective bargaining agreement. The new agreement includes revisions to Articles 39, 40 and 42 and a Memorandum of Understanding. These documents, the previously negotiated language for Article 35 and the new Article on Family Leave may be used in concert with the 2007-2009 CBA as a reference for the 2013-2015 BU 08 contract provisions.

2013 Open Enrollment Period for Pre-Tax Transportation Benefits Pilot Program (04/30/13)

The open enrollment period for the 2013 Pre-Tax Transportation Benefits Pilot Program (PTBP) is May 1, 2013 through June 21, 2013. The PTBP
allows eligible employees on O‘ahu to purchase a monthly adult bus pass on a pre-tax basis. Employees enrolled during open enrollment will
begin their payroll deduction on July 18, 2013 for the August 2013 bus pass.

Pay Correction Documents (11/20/12)

As a result of the Favored Nations Agreement, HGEA employees shall be reimbursed the dollar difference for all payments affected by the temporary 5% labor cost reduction to the base salary for the period July 1, 2011
to and including February 29, 2012. These payments include differentials, vacation payouts, etc.
