Aloha,

Imagine...excited high school students actively learning health enhancing behaviors; medical students excited to teach health education; medical and high school faculty excited to collaborate on a pedagogical model that allows high school and medical students to actively direct their learning...

Welcome to the School Health Education Program (SHEP) website to improve the Health  and Education of Hawaii's Youth.

The SHEP is a collaboration of the John A. Burns School of Medicine, Office of  Medical Education (JABSOM OME) and the State of Hawaii Department of Education (DOE). In the past, it has been funded by Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA), Fund for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education (FIPSE), U.S. Department of Education, and the Pfizer, Inc.

Please visit our site for problem-based learning curricular content, program presentations, and future workshops.
