The Presidents Emerging Leaders Program upholds the goals of the University of Hawaii System Strategic Plan for 2002-2010. The Plan commits to an investment in the Universitys most important assets, its faculty and staff. It envisions an inspiring work environment that recognizes that human resources are the key to our success. Such an environment would support faculty and staff excellence by providing professional and career development opportunities and facilitate participation in collegial governance. The Plan also commits to the achievement of a shared institutional culture that treasures diversity and inclusion, honors collegiality, and continuously strives for exceptional performance.
