Types of Permits
Day Permit
Valid 24-hours, seven days a week each permit has a specific zones designation. Upper campus zones are restricted to Faculty/Staff. Student day permits are distributed through a selection process held before each semester. Student day permits are not allowed onto upper campus between the hours of 6:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Evening Permit
Available for Staff and Students. This pass in not valid in student housing areas (Zones 8 & 21), or visitor parking lots. For Staff it is valid after 3pm. For students it is valid from 1:30pm - 11:59pm in the parking structure (Zone 20) or from 4pm - 6:30am in upper campus lots above Dole street. Also, valid Friday 1:30pm thru Sunday midnight in the parking structure.
Astronomy Parking Pass
The parking lot is located at 2680 Woodlawn Drive, adjacent to the Mānoa Market Place. This pass is available to Staff and Students. Served by the Rainbow Shuttle Route F1.
Carpool Parking Pass
Sold on an availability basis, valid from 6:30 am to 11:59 pm daily only in the parking structure (Zone 20), a minimum of two students are required to purchase, and two people must be in the vehicle while entering campus. The driver is required to pay $3.00 if entering campus alone.
Contractor/Vendor Pass
All contractors and vendors parking on campus are required to obtain a UHM parking pass. Contractors working on construction projects shall request a permit through their contact at the Facilities Management Office. Vendors may request a parking pass through the Parking Office. Vendor requests shall include an explanation of the service provided to University unit(s).
Handicapped Parking Permits
Temporary and long-term handicapped parking permits/passes are available for purchase at the Parking Office. Applicants must meet specific criteria to qualify for handicapped parking permits/passes. Visitors who possess a valid City & County Disability Placard may purchase a visitor parking ticket at the kiosk and park in any marked stall on campus. Both the visitor ticket and the placard must be displayed on the dashboard.
Moped / Motorcycle Parking Permit
Valid only in designated moped and motorcycle parking areas, required for all moped/motorcycles parking on campus.
Visitor Pass
Are available for departments' visitors & guest lectures. All requests must be submitted 48-hours in advance, and cost of passes are based on the daily parking rate.
