Information: Carl Johnson is a South Carolinian with a B.S. in Computer Science and Philosophy from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina. From 2004 to 2006, he taught English in Japan with the JET Programme. In 2008, he received an MA in Philosophy from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Philosophers he is interested in include Watsuji Tetsurō, Kant, Heidegger, and Wittgenstein. Cultural traditions he studies include Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, and Eastern Christianity. Areas of contemporary Western philosophy that he studies include epistemology, metaphysics, and feminist philosophy.
