Degree(s) and Major(s): B.A. in Biology

Class Standing: Senior

Number of Semesters in PMA: 7

Hobbies: Traveling the world, eating poke bowls from Ono Seafood, watching movies, stargazing, and singing in the shower!

Extracurricular Activities: PAC peer advisor, Health Occupations Students of America, volunteering, salsa dancing, and intramural co-ed basketball

Plans After Graduation: Travel to more places! I'll be taking a trip to California, Mexico, and Las Vegas during winter break and hopefully backpacking across Asia in the summer. I'll be taking a year off and then I plan to apply to medical school in hopes of becoming a physician. I'm open to pursuing any medical specialty, but pediatrics sounds interesting to me :)

Fun Fact: I rode a camel through the Sahara Desert and got to see the sunrise on top of a giant sand dune. I also stayed overnight in the Sahara Desert and slept in fear in a Bedouin tent because I thought I was going to be bitten by a snake or scorpion. I also think that avocados with vanilla ice cream is the best dessert EVER! :D

Fun Fact: I'm a pretty big scaredy cat, but I must say that the most ridiculous fear I have ever had was of toilets. Not because I was afraid of falling in an being flushed away, but because for some odd reason, I thought that the masked killer from the movie Scream would come spinning out from the toilet bowl. I used to run away after flushing and wash my hands somewhere else.

Extracurricular Activities: Aside from being a student, I am working part-time as a student assistant to an Emeritus Professor with ALS as well as a mentee under a neurologist at the West Shore Neurology Clinic because of my special interest in the brain.

Plans After Graduation: Although I have my eyes set on becoming a Pediatric Neurologist, my options are still wide open for many other opportunities that may come my way, which is why I initially joined PMA.

Fun Fact: I was born and raised in the Philippines until I was three, but was soon raised in Hawaii for the next 17 years of my life and graduated from Pearl City High School. As an incoming junior, I am currently majoring in Biology, gradually preparing myself for the MCAT that will be changing next year. Right now, I’m a studious student, so you’ll probably see me in either our classes together, the learning emporium, my late nights at Sinclair, or especially our many PMA events and socials.I think it will be a very exciting experience to serve as your Secretary and hope that you think so, too.
