Degree(s) and Major(s): B.A. in Art Hist

Class Standing: Senior

Number of Semesters in PMA: 6

Hobbies: Reading Dan Brown novels over and over again, oil-on-canvas painting, hanging out with my NSOhana (New Student Orientation leaders from 2011!), shopping for things I don't really need but want

Extracurricular Activities: Membership Chair for the Campus Center Board (CCB), Student Fellow at th Office of Admissions-Campus Tours: working as a student ambassador, giving campus tours & meeting prospective students, working for the Children's Healthy Living (CHL) project at the Office of Public Health Studies

Plans After Graduation: Getting my Master's of Science in Art Conservation, then applying to medical school to eventually become a physician. I'd like to work abroad in South America & Southeast Asia helping underserved populations, specifically the elderly and women & children in severely poverty-stricken areas

Fun Fact: I got the 1st Harry Potter book when I was 11 (HP was 11 in the story). I got the 2nd HP book when I was 12 (he was 12 in that book), etc. Due to popularity, the books came out faster than I aged, but pretty much Harry and I grew up together. And our birthdays are only 10 days apart (me: July 21, him: July 31). After the 7th book I felt like part of my childhood ended. So to save myself, I have watched all the HP movies except the 7th one. As long as I never watch it, I never have to see it end for myself. My childhood world of Harry Potter & Hogwarts lives on forever.

Also, I have a burn scar from leaning on a VW's exhaust pipe when I was a kid: it's in the shape of a crescent moon. I'm quite convinced it's a divine sign. Much like Harry Potter's lightning-shaped scar.

Fun Fact: I'm a pretty big scaredy cat, but I must say that the most ridiculous fear I have ever had was of toilets. Not because I was afraid of falling in an being flushed away, but because for some odd reason, I thought that the masked killer from the movie Scream would come spinning out from the toilet bowl. I used to run away after flushing and wash my hands somewhere else.

Fun Fact: I rode a camel through the Sahara Desert and got to see the sunrise on top of a giant sand dune. I also stayed overnight in the Sahara Desert and slept in fear in a Bedouin tent because I thought I was going to be bitten by a snake or scorpion. I also think that avocados with vanilla ice cream is the best dessert EVER! :D
