Every event you attend hosted by the Pre-Medical Association will help you achieve points. The purpose of the point system is to help the organization recognize members who have participated in Pre-Medical Association events. The point system was implemented because it rewards members based on an "hour" system rather than a "per event" system. The point system helps to ensure that members who achieve Active Status have invested the same amount of time in the club. It also helps the organization to distinguish and recognize members who have risen above and beyond the expected amount of service.

To reach Active Status a member must attain 3500 points in a semester. Members who exceed the required amount of points to achieve Active Status by a significant amount may qualify for further recognition.

General meetings, service projects, medical events, and socials will all help members attain points towards reaching active status.

Showing club spirit by wearing the Pre-Medical Association t-shirt to events and to the general meetings will help you gain bonus points towards reaching active status. Wearing your Pre-Medical Association name tag to events and to the general meetings will also help you gain bonus points.

Events which the Pre-Medical Association subsidizes to offer members services free of cost, however, will usually grant no points to its members.

Failure to attend an event without notifying an officer a day before the event will result in a loss of 100 points.
