The Brown Bag Colloquia (BBC) is a one hour formal presentation given by one of the core faculty members of the department or a visiting scholar about his or her current research. It is held around lunch time in the department library, and attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch with them. These events are great opportunities for both graduate students and undergraduate majors to get to know other faculty members, and for faculty members to learn about and discuss each others’ research. These presentations are given in the library of the department (Sakamaki A302).
