Applicants to the graduate program need to meet:

• Graduate Division admission standards and documentation requirements, and
• program specific admissions criteria and documentation requirements (see below).

Applicants need to submit the following documentation to Graduate Division Student Services:

• official post-secondary academic transcripts
• official GRE General Test scores (recommended, not required)
• official TOEFL scores – 600/250/100 or above, with subtest scores of 25 for listening and 25 for speaking

Applicants need to submit the following documentation to the Department of Religion:

* This is frequently an academic paper previously written on some topic related to religious studies. However, if no such writing sample is available, the applicant may compose an original essay that both indicates the applicant's interests in religious studies and demonstrates the applicant's discursive skills.
