The University of Hawaii has no authority to enter into an agreement to indemnify another party unless authorized by the legislature. Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §29-15.5, the University of Hawaii may agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless a federal agency if certain preconditions are satisfied.

- Name of federal agency to be indemnified
- Description of activities
- Copy of the agreement/contract between the University of Hawaii and the federal agency
