Pidgin and Stance in Hawai’i
Posted in : Current Research Projects on by : satocenter , current researchfreemiumresearch Comments: 0

Participants must be born and raised in Hawai‘i and be at least 18 years old. They should speak and understand Pidgin (a.k.a. Hawai‘i Creole) as a first language. The task involves reading and listening to Pidgin sentences and making judgements about whether the sentences are good Pidgin (how a Pidgin speaker would actually say them) or not. You shouldn’t worry too much about your answers – we’re simply interested in your intuitions as a native speaker of Pidgin.
