The SCCC was convened Friday, September 15, 2000, at Kapiolani Community College Library. It was created to deal with consortial cataloging decisions requiring face-to-face discussions or a more formal decision-making mechanism than previously existed. All UH library sites in the shared database are represented on the SCCC, with one member from each site, except for Mānoa who has four members.
Communication between meetings is through the SCCC listserv. Members also subscribe to the HVCAT-L listserv, which is for all UH Libraries staff that use the Hawaii Voyager cataloging module.
