Biological Abstracts | Search Guide
Citations with abstracts for journal
articles covering all aspects of the life sciences dealing with animals
(including humans), plants and microorganisms. Print volumes go back to
1926 and are located at QH 301.B37 in SciTech Reference.
Produced by the U.S. National Library of
Medicine, citations, most with abstracts, for journal articles in
biomedicine including research, clinical practice and health care
services. Includes links to GenBank and protein sequence data and core
medical, molecular biology and biochemistry textbooks.

A multidisciplinary index covering the journal literature of the
sciences (Science Citation Index Expanded). Approximately 70% of the
records have author abstracts.
The Biological Sciences Collection will include at least one hundred titles when it is completed in 2007. This collection brings together the twenty-nine journals available in our existing Ecology & Botany Collection with more than seventy titles new to JSTOR. Coverage in this collection offers greater depth in fields such as biodiversity, conservation, paleontology, and plant science, in addition to introducing new areas such as cell biology and zoology.
Zoological Record Plus (ZR Plus), produced by BIOSIS, provides extensive coverage of the world's zoological and animal science literature, covering all research from biochemistry to veterinary medicine. The database provides an easily searched collection of references from over 4,500 international serial publications, plus books, meetings, reviews and other non serial literature from over 100 countries.
Annual Reviews in Biomedical, Physical and Social Sciences, thirty different Annual Review titles, providing substantive review articles by authorities in the fields reviewed.
Index 1861-present with full text for
dissertations 1997 to present
Includes bibliographic citations for the doctoral and master's work of
authors from more than 1,000 graduate schools and universities dating
back to 1861.
