  • Gateway to UH Electronic Resource Subscriptions

The Gateway is a search interface which allows the user to search by journal, book, or database title, or by subject categories (such as Medical Technology, Medicine, and Physiology) using the drop down menu of subjects. Access to most titles is limted to UH Manoa IP addresses.

Journal Article Databases

  • CINAHL (Nursing and Allied Health) (1983 - present)
CINAHL provides citations and abstracts for articles from more than 550 English-language nursing and allied health journals. It also provides citations to books and pamphlets, audiovisual materials, dissertations, conference proceedings, standards and educational software. Subject coverage extends to relevant materials from biomedicine, management, behavioral sciences, health sciences librarianship, education, and consumer health. CINAHL on the Web is updated monthly.

  • Medline - PubMed (1966 - present) with full-text links
Medline contains citations to the world's journal literature covering biomedicine, including research, clinical practice, administration, policy issues, and health care services. Author abstracts are available for approximately 60 percent of the citations; English language abstracts are provided when possible. Medline sources include 3900 journals published in the United States and 70 other countries. This PubMed link allows UH Manoa users to link to full-text journals licensed by the library. It also allows the user to link to Hawaii Voyager to find journals not available in electronic format.
Note: To see the full-text links to the UH Manoa collection in PubMed, change the display option to Abstract from the default Summary; you will then see UH Manoa icons and journal icons.
Databases
  • Cochrane Library
The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews (CDSR) includes the full text of the reviews of randomized controlled trials often combined with meta-analysis.
