University of Hawaii Second Life presents a third summer social event, “Ice Cream Social” on August 6, 2010. This upcoming event includes new a avatar orientation, a fascinating tour of the Observatory and International Space Station with SiFan Shan who works for the IFA on Maui, the interactive water animation activities which will help you to get used to the camera and movement controls, and social networking on our beautiful ship. The ship is named “Sustainability” which aims to meet and connect with the students, faculties, and researchers from various departments and people from all over the world! The event begins at 4:00 PM HST. Please join us and let’s enjoy the last remains of the summer together!
4:00-4:30 PM – New User Orientation
4:30-5:00 PM – Tours of the Observatory and Intl Space Station with SiFan Shan
5:00-5:30 PM – Learning virtual skills via interactive water animation activities
5:30-6:00 PM – Social networking on the ship, “Sustainability”
