To begin your Second Life, follow the steps below:


  1. Visit Secondlife.com and sign up for an avatar account.  Be very careful about choosing your avatar’s name. This name cannot be changed.
  2. Once you have an avatar name and password, download and install the software on your computer (Mac or PC).
  3. On your first login, you will be directed to Orientation Island where you will master the basics of movement, changing your appearance, communication, and interacting with virtual objects.
