Crime Alert - Hate Crime

February 24, 2004
In accordance with the Federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, "Timely Notice Requirement", the following Crime Alert is being published.
On Sunday night, February 22, 2004 at approximately 8:20 P.M. a UHM student reports being attacked and assaulted by three individuals while walking on a path between Gateway and Frear Hall. This alleged assault appears to be motivated by “hate”, due to the language used towards the victim calling into question this persons gender and or sexual orientation. The victim of this incident provided the following description of the alleged suspects:
Suspect One:
Male, Late 20's, Ht: 6'4", Wt: 200
Slim Build Polynesian/Asian
Hair: Straight, Neck length, Black with gray patches
Eyes: Black
- Medium complexion, Head shape Wide Square with medium set eyes and straight eyebrows, Japanese shirt tattoo
- Last seen wearing a gold Rolex-style watch, Red Baseball cap, Cut off Jeans shorts, Gray T-Shirt tucked into back pocket and combat boots.
Suspect Two:
Male, Early 20’s, Ht: 5'8", Wt: 220
Husky build, Caucasian
Hair: Black, curly, crew cut , Marine-style "horse shoe" cut
Eyes: Hazel
- Pock Marked Medium complexion, with "soul-patch" on chin.
- Head shape Wide Square with close set eyes and straight eyebrow
- Noticeable stutter
- Last seen wearing pin striped dress slacks, black button down shirt with blue flames on bottom and dress shoes
Suspect Three:
Male, 18-20, Ht: 5'4",Wt: 140
Muscular Build, Asian
Hair: Blonde-Red with Black roots slicked back
Eyes: Black with plastic frame glasses
- Fair complexion, Head shape Narrow Triangular with wide spaced eyes and straight very thin eyebrows.
- Tatoo on right forearm Kanji character
- Last seen wearing black tank top and slippers
