August 13, 2007

A female UH student reported to campus security that at about 9:55 am this morning, she was followed/stalked and harassed by a male suspect while she was walking on McCarthy Mall. When she became aware of the individual she started walking faster, and the suspect did the same thing. As she approached the grassey area adjacent to Kennedy Theater the suspect was a couple of feet away from her and he asked her for her name and phone number, telling her that he had been watching her and that she was pretty. She told him she had a boyfriend, he replied "what's wrong, you don't like sex?" She screamed for help and the suspect ran away towards Correa Road.

Suspect Description:

  • Age: Late 20s
  • Height: 5' 10 to 6'00
  • Weight: 160 lb.
  • Build: Slim
  • Hair: Straight short black
  • Eyes: Brown
  • Complexion: Brown/dark
  • Witness described the suspect as being possibly: Indian or Pakistani Heritage. He was wearing a white button down long sleeved shirt, black slack pants and dress shoes.
