Crime Alert - Break in to Labs

July 14, 2003

Chemical appear to be the target of recent break-ins to labs at both Gilmore and Bilger Halls.

At Gilmore, two labs were found with pry marks on its locks and a third lab had its hinges removed. Chemicals were discovered missing from a forth lab that was kept open for easy access. Computers and other equipment were found intact.

At Bilger hall an unknown male, described as Caucasian, late 20's, dirt-blonde hair, 5'8", 140 lbs., with a slim body build, wearing a white lab coat and black pants was found inside Bilger Hall 204. The subject was last seen riding a black bicycle heading makai of Bilger Hall.

Glassware was found relocated to an area of the room that the individual was seen in. An inventory of equipment and supplies was completed with all items intact.

Anyone with information regarding the above cases is asked to call the Campus Security office at 956-6911.
