Security Alert - Burglary Reported

The Law School Library was burglarized after hours (late last night/early this morning), probably between 1:00 am and 9:00 am.

No one was injured but some offices and files were broken into; some items were taken.

Campus Security and Honolulu Police responded quickly this morning, have taken statements from staff and some students, dusted for prints, and assigned a detective.

We are reviewing all available sources of information at this time but need your kokua.

*If anyone saw ANYONE unusual around or in the Law Library yesterday (Sunday Dec. 11, 2011), please contact Librarian Roberta Woods or Denise Antolini as soon as possible.

The Law Library will remain open as scheduled.

Please continue to be on alert about your own security and that of others.

UH Alert, Robbery Reported

Tonight at approximately 8 pm two male students were robbed at gunpoint of cellphones and a backpack near the Hale Noelani residence hall. One of the students was forced into the assailant's car but was able to escape soon afterwards.

The vehicle is described as four-doored, white, lowered and with dark tinted windows, possibly a Honda or Acura. Its license plate may start with the digits "RGF-3".

Assailant is described as in his early 20's, about 6 feet tall, black crew-cut hair and very tanned complexion.
