Attempted Robbery and Assault
Wednesday, April 19, 2000

At about 03:00 a.m., April 19, 2000, the victim claimed that he was walking toward Hale Wainani I building when he was approached by an unknown black male, approximately 5'9" and 170 pounds, no further description available. The victim also noted another individual to his side (no description), and a third individual grabbed him from behind and demanded money. When the victim could not produce any money he was struck from behind on the head with an unknown object. The suspects fled. The victim managed to return to his room where friends took him for medical treatment.
We caution everyone to be aware and if all possible do not walk around the dorm area alone late at night.
