First Circuit Court Judge Patrick Border has preliminarily approved a Class Action Settlement in Gross v. University of Hawaiʻi, Hawaiʻi First Circuit Court Civil No.11-1-1217-06 PWB.

The Settlement provides free credit monitoring and free identity theft consultation and restoration services for a period of two years for the following possible data breaches: Kapiʻolani Community College (March 2009); Honolulu Community College (February 2010); University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (June 2010); University of Hawaiʻi at West Oʻahu (October 2010); and Kapiʻolani Community College (June 2011).
