The Asian Studies Program is pleased to announce a scholarship
competition for continuing Asian Studies Graduate and Undergraduate
Students
Application Deadline: Wed. 8 November 2006 in Moore Hall 321
General Information
- open to continuing MA and BA (juniors and seniors) Asian Studies majors only
- open to international and U.S. students
- awards announced end of November 2006
- FLAS (graduate fellowship) awardees are not eligible
Amount
- $4,000 for James Shigeta and $2,000 for JTB Scholarship
Uses
- field study
- summer language study
- research or conference travel
- general study expenses (tuition, etc)
Criteria
- continuing and full-time classified status
- exemplary performance in the Asian Studies Program
- promise in the field of Asian Studies
- funds must be expended before date of graduation or Spring/Summer 2007, whichever is earliest
