The Arts of Asia and the Pacific program features visual and
performing arts. Through slide lectures, films and demonstrations,
faculty members discuss arts as diverse as Chinese opera, hula,
Balinese puppetry, kabuki, ink painting, sculpture, textiles and other
traditional art forms. The following are lecture topics for the Arts
of Asia and the Pacific program. Please note that lectures are
dependent on the availability of faculty, and additional
topics may be available.
Students will come away with a better understanding of the Arts of
