| ABOUT US
The University Health Services Manoa (UHSM) is a unit within the Office of Student Affairs under the Vice Chancellor for Students. It was established in 1932 and has been at its present location, near Kennedy Theater on the Upper Campus, since 1964. The UHSM is staffed by physicians, nurse clinicians, nurses, and other support staff. A wide range of medical services and programs are offered. These include the General Medical Clinic, the Women's Health Clinic, Sports Medicine, dermatology, pharmacy, clinical laboratory, student training, employment and volunteer opportunities. Although our primary service population are the students of UH Manoa, many services are also available to faculty and staff members, and students from other campuses. Also a part of the University Health Services is the Health Promotion Program (located at the Queen Lili'uokalani Center for Student Services building, room 313-D), which provides health information, promotion and educational services to assist students, faculty and staff in maintaining and improving their health and well-being, and to contribute to a healthy campus community. Activities range from health fairs and classroom presentations by peer educators to providing resource materials and individual counseling on health-related topics. Last Updated: 03.01.2008 |
