| OVERVIEW
Aloha! We welcome you to beautiful Hawaii. The University of Hawaii System and BYU Hawaii are pleased to serve as the hosts for the PCCHA 2007 conference. It will be 10 years since the last time the PCCHA annual conference was held in Hawaii. The 1997 conference took place at the Royal Waikoloan Hotel on the Kona coast of the Big Island. Our theme then was "Lōkahi Balance, Harmony, Unity, & Wellness". We believe that wellness and holistic healthcare are still central to college health, and we have kept the same theme: LŌKAHI 07, with the green sea turtle, the "honu", as the conference logo. The PCCHA annual meeting provides an opportunity for college health professionals to network, exchange information, learn about the most recent trends and advances in the field, and meet continuing education requirements. The 2007 meeting will be held at the Ala Moana Hotel, at the edge of Waikiki, next door to the wonderful Ala Moana Shopping Center, and Ala Moana Beach Park. This world-class hotel recently underwent a multi-million dollars renovation and all the rooms are refurbished and beautifully upgraded. The conference will have wide ranging topics of interest to college health professionals, presented by your colleagues and invited speakers. Other exciting events include a welcome reception, luncheon speaker on Hawaiian green sea turtles; a sunset party at the Waikiki Aquarium, with a ride on the Waikiki Trolley; entertainment; exhibitors; and drawing of prizes. We hope you will enjoy the conference as well as our wonderful Aloha State, and be refreshed and energized in both mind and body. Come early and/or extend your stay for more days in paradise! |
