DESCRIPTION:"YUAN: by Beili Liu," the current installation work at the University of Hawai‘i Art Gallery, is the inspiration for choreographer Mitsuko Horikawa and composer John Chow Seymour.  Around "YUAN," they present "Tomoe," their collaborative performance work.\n\n"Yuan," in Chinese, has several meanings including “circle.”  The Japanese character “tomoe” refers to a design with three elements within a circle.
