DESCRIPTION:This workshop will introduce participants to the concept of Vertically Integrated Projects (VIPs) initiated at MÄnoa in Spring 2015 with three VIP teams now grown to thirteen teams and more than 200 students from six diverse departments across the MÄnoa campus.\n\nThe VIP program uses long-term, in-depth, project-based learning to engage students and prepare them for future careers. VIPs are a great collaborative experience for students, and also help faculty to integrate education with their own research and creative work interests. Participants will hear both student and faculty advisor perspectives.\n\nSome features of the program include:Multidisciplinary teams consisting of faculty mentor(s), graduate student researchers, and undergraduates\nStudents working on the same project over multiple semesters receive credits useful towards graduation requirements\nGraduate and more experienced undergraduates help mentor new students\n\nTo register, please click HERE\n\nFeel free to bring your own lunch.
