DESCRIPTION:Honolulu Chamber Music Series welcomes back the Grammy Award Winners- Parker Quartet on September 14 at 7:30PM at the UHM Orvis Auditorium. \n\nKnown for their luminous sound and brilliant musicianship the group has distinguished itself to be one of the prominent ensembles of its generation. Washington Post says the Quartet has the, “exceptional virtuosity [and] imaginative interpreation”.\n\nRecently, their work has involve making appearances at the Library of Congress and Carnegie Hall. They also work with American composer Augusta Read Thomas at Harvard University on the Quartetʻs annual four concert series. \n\nSince the Parker Quartet was founded in Boston they have gone to receive many awards that include the Grand Prix and Mozart Prize at France’s Bordeaux International String Quartet Competition and won the Concert Artists Guild Competition.
