DESCRIPTION:Join us for a screening of Island Soldier, a documentary film by Nathan Fitch about Micronesians serving in the U.S. military.  Nathan will be at the screening and will lead a "talk story" session alongside members of the Micronesian community about the issues and concerns raised in the film. The screening is part of the Oceania on the Reel Pacific Film Series brought to you by the UH Manoa Center for Pacific Islands Studies in collaboration with Chaminade University and Bess Press.  The Island Soldier screenings have been made possible with support from the Hawaii Council for the Humanities.
