Combining her love for the millennium-old tradition of Chinese music with an innovative spirit of exploration, Yang Jing builds on a vast amalgam of musical history from both East and West to create a musical experience that transcends boundaries.\n\n\nConcert 1\n\nMarch 1 - Pipa and string quartet, featuring works by Takuma Itoh, Donald Womack, Yang Jing and others.\n\n\nJoined by UH’s string faculty Joseph Stepec, Anna Womack, and I-Bei Lin, she will present works by UH composers, as well as her own music, including her award-winning modern pipa standard "Dance Along the Old Silk Road."\n\n\nConcert 2\n\nMarch 8 - Pipa with soprano and cello, featuring music by Thomas Osborne and world premieres by UH student composers.\n \n\ntickets: $14 / $10\n\nNo additional cost to purchase your tickets in advance\n\n\n\n
