DESCRIPTION:Many faculty feel they have to jump straight into teaching a full online course, when developing an online lesson for use in a face-to-face course would make a great pilot effort. In this fashion, there is less risk, less overwhelming commitment, and an opportunity to scale up at a future date. This professional development workshop will review a lesson template provided by the College of Education Jumpstart Program, followed by a discussion of examples in:\nContent delivery (e.g. videos, screencasts, and lesson walkthroughs)\nAssignments/assessments (e.g. text discussions, peer review and online feedback, self-recorded presentations)\nFeel free to bring your own lunch. Beverages will be provided.
