DESCRIPTION:Bill Sharp (we.sharp@gmail.com) is president of Sharp Translation and Research, LLC. He taught\n\nEast Asian politics at Hawaii Pacific University for 23 years, and has taught at the University of Ha-\nwaii, Manoa, and Chaminade University. He wrote “Look East,” a monthly column for the Honolulu\n\nStar-Bulletin and hosted Asia in Review. Both his column and TV show focused on contemporary\nAsian affairs. In 2016, he was awarded the Taiwan Fellowship by the Taiwan Ministry of Foreign Affairs\nto enable him to research Taiwan political polarization at the Institute of Taiwan History, Academia\nSinica.
