DESCRIPTION:Today, film and filmmaking is more accessible than ever before. As the generation that grew up alongside technology and media comes of age, many seek--and struggle--to find a voice and tell their own story through film. Join local youth filmmakers Inez Anderson and Jessie Hearther as they recount their own experiences as storytellers and filmmakers in a new age of entertainment.\n\nInez Anderson and Jessie Hearther are youth filmmakers who have been working together since they met at a Hawai’i Women in Filmmaking camp in 2018. Their work focuses on a range of prevalent social issues including intersectional feminism, gun control, and LGBT+ rights. Inez and Jessie plan to continue social justice advocacy through filmmaking after highschool and throughout the rest of their lives.
