DESCRIPTION:The Asia Pacific Dance Festival (APDF) introduces a new series entitled “Moving Forward.” Once a month, the series will present previous APDF resident artists, taking a look back at their time here at the festival as well as discussing their current projects and how they are moving forward.\n\nThis session will feature kumu hula Michael Casupang of Hālau I Ka Wēkiu. The group participated in the 2015 Asia Pacific Dance Festival.\n\nAPDF showcases the finest dances, dancers, and choreographers from Asia and the Pacific. Centered on a series of performances, the Festival includes such complementary activities as workshops, university course offerings, public lectures, forums, and community demonstrations.\n\nAPDF is a co-production of the East-West Center Arts Program and the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa Outreach College. Additional support is provided by the University’s Theatre & Dance Department.
