DESCRIPTION:The Fleet Naval Construction Force is an essential enabler of Fleet maneuver, sea control, and sea\ndenial from the littorals. The mission of the Fleet Naval Construction Force is to translate Fleet\nCommander’s requirements into engineering tasks and to execute them successfully. This presentation\nwill focus on the “engineering kill chain”, including all the discrete tasks involved in between\nidentification of a requirement through to execution. An unclassified discussion will describe the\nreasoning for which locations are chosen and why.\nAdditionally, a brief discussion of the capabilities of the terrestrial and underwater construction force\nwill be given. Examples will be given of recent, current, and near future waterfront construction projects\nthat were and are being executed by Sailors from the Naval Construction Force (Seabees). Also\ndiscussed is the relationship between the Seabees and the Navy’s Ocean Facilities Program.\n\nMeeting ID: 961 6222 2366\nPasscode: OREseminar
