DESCRIPTION:Rising from a historically inferior status and overcoming many disadvantages along the way, we have witnessed the blooming of writing by Tibetan women in the past few decades. Their works echo an ongoing dialogue among Tibetan, Indian, Chinese, and Western cultures and provide a rich venue for understanding femininity and womanhood in a global, dynamic context.
