According to the recent estimates by Pakistan Institute of Education (PIE) Report 2021-2022, during the year 2023, 26.2 million children (47%) between the ages of 5 and 16 are out of school in Pakistan. This age cohort signifies a huge range of diversity and complexity regarding their education. The low literacy rate is also creating other critical issues such as increased crime rate, poor levels of health, unemployment and poverty in society. These children severely limit their chances of economic and social well-being to be attained in future. However, it is pertinent to mention that Non-Formal Education has been actively responding to the OOSC crisis as an alternative, The report statistics reveal that there are 25,565 centres in Pakistan with 27,763 teachers and an enrollment of 919,128 children. But still, there are many children who are left out and need attention to be educated. Therefore, to help these children to step on ladder of a normal life WPTG Foundation initiated a Non-Formal Education Centre in 2023 to educate these children and also give them peace education. Currently, we are having 26 children 11 girls and 15 boys in the ages of 5-13.\n-----\n\nSponsors: Conflict & Peace Specialist, Peace & Reconciliation Network, and Weaving People to Grow Foundation
