DESCRIPTION:This seminar will present a research agenda that bridges health services research, community engagement, and health policy analysis to advance equity in cancer care delivery across Hawaii and the Pacific. Dr. Eom will share findings from studies examining the effects of health reform, neighborhood disadvantage, and racial inequities on cancer outcomes, as well as results from a community-based cervical cancer screening intervention. Building on this foundation, she will outline future directions focused on longitudinal survivorship research and caregiver support. Her presentation will highlight opportunities to build collaborative, community-anchored research programs that reduce disparities and improve cancer outcomes across the region.
